Robert, as Holloway prefers to be called, has worked as a designer in films, TV, Commercials, Music Videos, Opera and Theatre - taking  him all over the USA, Canada, Latin America, England, Germany, Greece and South Africa.  His production design for TWO SOLDIERS, the live-action short film based on a Faulkner short story, is acknowledged for helping it win the 2004 ACADEMY AWARD.

C. Robert has been responsible for the design of 28 television films, 2 TV series, 3 mini-series and scores of commercials.  Highlights include TRUMAN CAPOTE'S ONE CHRISTMAS, Katharine Hepburn's last appearance before the cameras; DOUBLE CROSS, starring Dennis Hopper, which won the Ace Award for HBO; 22 episodes of AMERICAN GOTHIC, the cult favorite still seen on SCFI; THIS GUN FOR HIRE, the remake of the 40's film noire classic, and HOUSE OF SECRETS, the remake of the French thriller, DIABOLIQUE.

 C. Robert's first novel, THE UNAUTHORIZED LETTERS OF OSCAR WILDE, won the coveted Hemingway Prize and a brace of laudatory reviews along with invitations to speak at University of Bologna, the University of Adelaide, UCLA, USC and the One Institute in Los Angeles.  MY LETTERS FROM LUDWIG, Holloway's second novel, published in the Fall of 2004, received glowing reviews. Currently, he is writing DANCING TO TCHAIKOVSKY, the final novel in his trilogy about gay men of genius who died too young.

Between design jobs, Holloway spends his time researching and writing at his circa 1810 garconniere in New Orleans' historic French Quarter.
